Edan Support was born from a life forever changed, not by choice, but by circumstance. Years ago, our founder’s world was turned upside down in a catastrophic road traffic accident, leaving him with life-altering injuries and a future that seemed painfully uncertain. What followed was not just a journey of recovery, but a battle to rebuild, filled with setbacks, quiet victories and above all, unwavering hope.
As someone who’s lived through the care system, not as a professional, but as a vulnerable person in need, our founder understands better than most the true value of the right support. After years of facing gaps in care and countless moments of feeling unheard, he finally met a support worker who did more than assist, they saw him, believed in him and helped him believe in himself again. Their compassion was life-changing.
What once felt lost, dignity, purpose, independence, was slowly reclaimed, not just through rehabilitation, but through connection and care that empowered rather than just provided. That turning point sparked a mission: to create a service that offers others the same hope, the same strength, and the same chance to thrive.

Our Registered Manager Setting a New Standard in Compassionate Home Care
At Edan Support, our Registered Manager brings a wealth of experience and dedication to delivering high-quality care for individuals with complex needs. With a passion for empowering adults to lead fulfilling and independent lives, they have a proven track record of supporting individuals with a range of conditions, including Acquired Brain Injuries, Epilepsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, severe learning disabilities, non-verbal communication, and challenging behaviours.
Over the years, our Registered Manager has demonstrated exceptional expertise in managing transitions for adults moving out of secure units and into supported living settings. Working collaboratively with clinical professionals, including Learning Disability nurses and other specialists, they have successfully led teams in creating smooth transitions while ensuring individuals’ needs are met with dignity and respect. Their proactive approach has also focused on implementing preventative measures to reduce hospital admissions, ensuring individuals receive the necessary support to thrive in their communities.
In crisis situations, our Registered Manager has worked closely with Intensive Support Teams to manage complex behaviours effectively, prioritising the safety and well-being of all involved. Their extensive experience with various communication methods, such as Makaton, Now & Next strategies, Talk About Mats, and intensive interaction techniques, ensures that all individuals, regardless of their communication preferences, are understood and supported.
Our Registered Manager has been instrumental in promoting independence for adults by enhancing life skills and empowering them to transition from residential care into their own homes. Their dedication to fostering independence is underpinned by a person-centred approach, ensuring tailored support for each individual’s unique needs.
Having achieved Care Quality Commission registration, our Registered Manager is committed to delivering care and treatment that not only promotes independence but also enriches the lives of those with complex needs. With strong leadership and management skills, they are focused on building and training a dedicated staff team equipped to provide outstanding care. Additionally, Edan Support works to identify and secure suitable accommodations that align with the complex requirements of the individuals we serve.
